Who is Moira Tierney?
MOIRA TIERNEY studied at University College Dublin (BA) and at l’Ecole
Nationale d’Arts de Cergy-Paris, (DNSEP). Moira has completed over twenty
short films, including the AMERICAN DREAMS series (listed as one of the
best films of the year by the Village Voice in 2003 and selected for the Irish
Film Board's Reel Ireland Programme); her work has screened
internationally at venues such as the Fondation Cartier in Paris, the Rio Film
Festival, the London and Edinburgh Film Festivals, the Rotterdam Film
Festival and the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid. Her films are distributed by
Third World Newsreel and the Film-Makers Co-operative in New York and
the Collectif Jeune Cinema in Paris. She is also co-founder of the Irish film
